Volunteer Judges!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering as a judge for our Brazos Valley Technology Student Association Regional Competition. We need volunteers to help judge student made projects in a wide variety of subject areas. These projects fall into categories that include woodworking, metal fabrication, CNC/CAM manufacturing, Print Media, Multi-Media/Animation, Photography, and Drafting/CAD.

You do NOT need to be an expert on the subject to be a judge! We will have people to help explain an area as needed and help guide you with the help of the Texas TSA State Rules Book. What we need is your honest judgment and opinion. So feel free to invite others that you may know who might be interested in helping.

To help us plan we have a Judges Form Google Doc Survey, located using the link to the left.

It only asks for your name and contact information. I assure you that we do NOT share this information with anyone – we only use it to plan for the number of judges we have coming and for the Judges Meal. That’s right … we will feed you as a thank you for your time and effort.

This Brazos Valley TSA Regional Contest takes place at the CyFair ISD Agriculture Exhibit Center which is located at 11206 Telge Rd in Cypress, TX 77429. This location is on the East side of Telge Rd. and directly across the street from Arnold Middle School.

We ask that judges please show up by 5:00PM. We will be providing dinner starting around this time. Then we will explain the judging process and break judges up into teams. This will mean that you will probably need to leave your place of business earlier than usual Thursday, February 28, 2019. Should you need a letter directly to your supervisor/employer, please let me know and I will gladly provide one.

Without the support of people such as yourself our students would not be nearly so successful. This one evening of volunteer work will directly affect 400+ students ranging from middle school to the high school level. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Email is probably the best option, but feel free to call as well. Thank you again for your time and dedication.

Best regards,

Steven Britt
